How to Use Brightspace Efficiently as a Student
Brightspace is more capable than its UI suggests. A few setup tweaks go a long way.

Brightspace by D2L is in roughly 30% of North American higher-ed deployments and a majority of K-12 ones. The defaults are not optimized for students.
Set notifications, then turn most of them off
Brightspace's notification panel is verbose by default. Disable everything except: grades posted, due dates within 24 hours, and instructor announcements. Anything else is noise.
Bookmark the Quizzes tool directly
Brightspace buries the Quizzes tool under several levels of navigation. Bookmark it directly per course — saves real time over a semester.
Download content for offline
Most Brightspace courses let you download Content as a single bundle. Useful for prep on flights or during deadlines when you'd rather not be online.
What FastSolve does for Brightspace
Brightspace's quiz UI is unusual — combined questions, weird arithmetic inputs, multi-select that other tools mishandle. FastSolve has a Brightspace-specific adapter for those.
