What is Brightspace?

Brightspace is owned by Canadian company D2L. Many institutions know it as just "D2L" — the Brightspace brand was added later. Brightspace's quiz tool supports an unusual mix of question types: arithmetic questions check both the numeric value and the number of significant figures, and combined questions allow multiple sub-prompts inside a single graded item.
